A CALL FOR ETHNIC REFORMATION

10,000 Pastors. One Mission. Return to the Word.

Our Burden

Reformation Churches is pleading with our King, Jesus Christ, to cause both revival and reformation in the predominantly black church.

This is our prayer for all churches everywhere, but in the providence of God, we carry a particular burden for churches attended by black Christians.

Let us be clear: all churches have their problems, and all cultures have their blind spots.

But most honest people would sadly acknowledge the spiritual, relational, economic, educational, and emotional predicament the "community" finds itself in today.

We believe this crisis is not ultimately political, economic, or educational.

It is spiritual.

And the solution must begin with the Word of God and the people of God.

Our Call

We are praying for reformation. And if it be God's will, we are calling 10,000 black pastors to join us in:

1. Proclaiming the True Gospel

Clearly communicating that Christ died for sin, was buried, and rose again on the third day, having put away the sins of those He calls by His own blood.

Only repentance and belief in Jesus Christ saves.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9-10

2. Calling God's People Back to Sound Churches

Not man-centered, prosperity-driven pulpits, but Bible-believing churches with qualified male elders who preach the whole counsel of God.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 4:2-4; Titus 1:5-9; Acts 20:27

3. Rejecting Worldly Culture for Christian Culture

Admonishing all hearers to pursue holiness, humility, propriety, dignity, and self-control, not the values of the street or the screen.

Scripture: Romans 12:2; Titus 2:11-12; 1 Peter 1:14-16

4. Restoring Biblical Sexual Ethics

Modeling and mandating a "marry before you carry" mentality again. Sex is for marriage. Marriage is for life.

Scripture: Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 6:18-20; Genesis 2:24

5. Rebuilding the Biblical Household

One man and one woman, covenanted in marriage, raising their children in the fear of God. This is God's design and the foundation of a godly society.

Scripture: Ephesians 6:4; Deuteronomy 6:6-9; Malachi 2:15

6. Advocating for Christian Education

Building a biblical worldview in our children, not outsourcing their discipleship to institutions that deny God's Word.

Scripture: Proverbs 22:6; Colossians 2:8; Psalm 1:1-2

7. Addressing Besetting Sins Directly

Calling hearers to leave the club, put down the crystals, stop consulting the ancestors, and worship the true and living God alone.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Deuteronomy 18:10-12; Exodus 20:3

8. Rejecting False Teachers

Standing against preachers, politicians, professors, and pundits who teach contrary to the Word of God, no matter how popular or powerful.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 4:3-4; Galatians 1:8-9; Matthew 7:15

Why Now?

We believe that judgment must begin first in the house of God. (1 Peter 4:17)

The problems in our communities will not be solved by government programs, corporate initiatives, or social media campaigns.

They will be solved when the church returns to the Word.

When fathers lead their homes.

When pastors preach the truth.

When God's people live as salt and light.

This is reformation.

For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?
